The defect

Due to a software issue, if a vehicle occupant places an obstruction such as a body part in the window space when the driver or passenger side windows are closing, the window may not automatically reverse and may exert an upward force greater than the design intent.

The hazard

If the driver or passenger side window auto reverse function does not operate as intended, it can increase the risk of serious injury to vehicle occupants.
